This One’s for the Ladies

I came across this little saying while browsing a website. I definitely think this should be posted in a place where you’ll see it everyday. We can’t forget why we’re here and who we’re here for! Here it is Ladies:
Live your life in such a way that when your feet hit the floor, Satan shudders and says, “Oh Crap…She’s Awake!!”
You’ve been called to be Set Apart. Are you being conformed to His ways or the ways of the world? What are you doing with your time? What type of company are you keeping? Are your relationships profitable? Are you wasting your days? Are you completely self-consumed? If so, it’s time to refocus and remember who you’re truly living for. Everyday counts. Surrender your life to the One who gave it to you!
For none of us lives to himself, and none of us dies to himself. For if we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die, we die to the Lord. So then, whether we live or whether we die, we are the Lord’s. Romans 4:7-8

It’s often said that behind every great man is a great women but I think some men aren’t getting credit where credit is due. I would have to say that behind every great woman is an even greater man!
I believe the design of marriage has been crafted by God in such a way that if you’re both doing ‘your part’ the above statement is proven true. I’m going to dote on my husband for a minute and my reason for this isn’t to make you “roll your eyes” or strike your “gag reflex” but to share how having a great man behind me has made me (and is still making me) into a good woman (and an all around better, more Godly woman). I hope this encourages you to take a step back and evaluate your own relationship or perhaps let your man know how much you appreciate and love him. (See it’s crucial to seek God’s plan for your life because when you make bad decisions and choose the wrong man, you’re not only missing out on so much, but you’re living out your will instead of God’s, but that’s a whole other post.)

I join my voice to that of John Piper, who pleads with Christian women:
That you not assume that secular employment is a greater challenge or a better use of your life than the countless opportunities of service and witness in the home, the neighborhood, the community, the church, and the world; that you not only pose the question: career or full-time homemaker?, but that you ask just as seriously: full-time career or freedom for ministry? That you ask: Which would be greater for the Kingdom-to work for someone who tells you what to do to make his or her business prosper, or to be God’s free agent dreaming your own dream about how your time and your home and your creativity could make God’s business prosper? And that in all this you make your choices not on the basis of secular trends of upward lifestyle expectations, but on the basis of what will strengthen the faith of the family and advance the cause of Christ.
