My Boundary
If you’re not for me, you’re against me and if you’re against me, you’re my enemy. I will love and pray for you but I will also cut you off from me. This is my boundary.
What’s holding you back? Remember, you’re free. Cut if off and don’t look back. Shake the dust off your feet (Mark 6:11). Life’s too short.

I was running on my treadmill the other night and about eight minutes into running I started to get a major cramp on my right side. I was annoyed by this because I really wanted to push myself and run longer than I had the night before. I slowed down the speed on the treadmill to a brisk walk and figured I could walk out this piercing cramp. After about two to three minutes I decided I was going to run again and I didn’t care if I was in pain, I was going to do it anyway. I turned up the volume on my shuffle and increased the speed once again on the treadmill.
As I was running I fixed my focus straight ahead and all of a sudden the Apostle Paul came to mind. There are countless lessons we can learn from him but I was only thinking about one particular instance, the thorn in his side (2 Cor. 12:7) that the Lord would not take away. As I was running faster and harder than I ever had before, I was pushing through the pain on my right side. I continued to think about the Apostle Paul and how he kept on the course he knew the Lord put him on even though he had a thorn in his side and even many other obstacles that came across his way. There are many speculations about what exactly the thorn was, whether physical or spiritual but that doesn’t matter because the point is, we all have, have had or will have a thorn in our side sometime in our lives. We can relate to this imagery because in this life it’s a guarantee we’ll all experience a thorn in our side, a handicap, a torment that we’ll plead with God to take away because it’s so painful and so uncomfortable. I believe the Lord will tell us what he told Paul when Paul asked Him three times to take it away. “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” (2 Cor. 12:9)
