My American Family

Last week Pastor Tim started a new series called The American Family. I was excited for this series to start because I couldn’t wait to hear what he was going to cover being as how there are so many things you can talk about when it comes to family. The church was able to see video interviews of the staff giving their own stories of what their family was like and how life was for them growing up. It was awesome to hear everyone share and it was amazing that everyone came from such different backgrounds. Although each staff member had very different stories and are unique people, the one common factor they all share is the love and faith they have in Jesus Christ. It was just an amazing and powerful video to watch. It truly showed that no matter what happens God is in control.
As I listened to Pastor Tim speak his message I began to think about what I would have said if somebody asked me how my family life was growing up. I quickly sorted through the years of my life in my head. I was amazed that the end result of it all was me sitting in that seat, in my church, surrounded by my new family, holding the hand of my husband. God is amazing.

I respect, love and support my husband 110%! I am so thankful he chose me to be his wife and I thank God everyday for ordaining this marriage and giving us the privilege of spending the rest of our lives together. One of my many daily goals is to make sure my husband knows just how much I respect, love and support him by both my words and actions. He is truly my best friend and greatest man I’ve ever met. He is one of God’s finest masterpieces! He’s everything I’ve ever dreamed of or desired but never thought existed let alone something I could have! Praise God!

It seems that every time I find myself amazed at God’s awesomeness He does something else that continues to keep me in awe of Him, His power and His ability.
When we really get serious with God, He gets serious with us. A lot of times in my life I’ve set out to really want to change my ways, change things about myself, change the choices and decisions I found myself making. It would last for awhile and then I would slowly get lazy and slip back into complacency.
