Worth the Wait

Patience pays off. I’m sure I’m not alone when I say this but, I hate waiting! I hate having to be patient! Especially in a world were things are constantly being made to be faster and more convenient, from fast food restaurants to microwaveable ready-to-eat meals. Things in today’s society are all about what we want and the quickest and fastest way to get it! Faster cars, faster internet, faster service in restaurants and stores, faster, faster, faster! I don’t know very many people who actually like to wait in line, wait in traffic, wait at the doctor’s office, wait for the internet page to load or wait for their car to pick up to 55 MPH, if you’re one of those people who love to wait then I sincerely applaud you. I truly have to force myself to have patience. I know patience is a virtue and boy do I have to work at it!

I spent a few years rushing into one bad relationship after the next because I always got tired of waiting for God to bring the right guy into my life. I didn’t necessarily go looking for these losers it just seemed to happen and because I was so impatient I settled and tried to make it what I wanted it to be instead of facing the reality of what it really was, ALL WRONG and a WASTE OF TIME!
