Some days more than others I reflect on the grace and mercy of God. Today I feel consumed with the thoughts of how there would be no hope for me or in my life if God was not gracious and merciful. I am in awe of His love for me and His creation. I am so grateful, more than thankful for His tender mercy, for His forgiving grace, for His endless hope. I am overwhelmed with the magnitude of His all encompassing, unconditional love. When I meditate on Him and what He did to show His love to the world I am humbled and broken. I am in awe of God’s sacrifice, I am in awe of Christ’s willingness to disadvantage himself for the advantage of others. God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, Jesus willingly went, He left His throne to walk among us, took upon Himself all the sins of the entire world, He suffered more than anyone could fathom, He sacrificed His life, He willingly died so that we could live. There is no greater love than this. There is no greater demonstration of love than the gospel truth.
