Do You Need This Reminder?

In the busyness of life it’s easy to get so caught up in the everyday craze that it’s almost as if you’ve been sucked up into a whirlwind and something drastic has to happen in order for you to get out of it.

When you’re in the constant state of going, going, going, it’s easy to ignore God’s still small voice that’s prompting you to slow down, slow down, slow down, be still. It’s like we’re running this race and we’ve got great momentum and think to ourselves, I can’t stop now, I can’t slow down, I’ve got this great momentum, I can’t possibly stop now, there’s no time, I must keep going…and then God allows you to stumble and fall so He can re-capture your attention. It isn’t until you’ve fallen flat on your face that you look up and listen. Once you’re standing still you then realize that all this momentum you’ve had wasn’t necessarily great progress and productivity but that you’ve been rushing through life without stopping to enjoy it and at the end of the day, that is just sad.

It’s great to be busy and productive but it’s just as equally important to be still and rest. In the still moments God speaks to your heart and teaches you the importance of balance. He knows what we need better than we do and it’s because He loves and cares for us, like no other, He sees to it that we get what we need, even if we resist Him at times.

Nothing ever happens in our lives that we can’t learn a lesson from and I’m so thankful our Heavenly Father cares enough to teach us and show us what’s best for us. I believe balance is one of the most important things to strive for in every area of our life, yet most of the time it seems impossible to obtain.

Maybe you’re caught up in a whirlwind right now and you’re reading this because God’s trying to tell you that you need to just slow down and enjoy more moments of quiet and rest. Make time for yourself, make time for God, and make time to just be still. Maybe you’ve already mastered the art of balance and moderation, and if that’s the case, great job, keep it up, and please share your secrets with the rest of us! :)

Test Results: Turbo Jam after Turbo Fire

I’m in my sixth week of TurboFire and I’ve loved every minute of every class since day one. I’ve been wondering what it would be like to go back and do a TurboJam workout since TurboFire is much more intense than TurboJam. Would it be really easy? Would I still feel challenged? Would I sweat just as much? How will I feel at the end? These are the questions I was pondering, so this past weekend I decided to stop wondering and do Turbo Jam, PunchKickJam.

I’m very happy to report that it’s definitely still a challenge, a great workout, and I was still sweating like crazy. I totally noticed a difference in my endurance, strength and overall energy. For example, during the “Turbo” (one minute high intensity) part of the workout, I rocked it out like never before, I was able to do all the air jacks that I was previously never able to do, and it felt amazing!!

My little test brings me to three main points I want to share with you:

1.) Anyone doing Turbo Jam or who has already done Turbo Jam will absolutely be able to do Turbo Fire and keep up with it. If you’ve wanted to try Turbo Fire but are hesitant because you think you aren’t in “Turbo Fire Shape” yet, don’t wait any longer! You’ll be able to do this program and you’ll just get better and stronger each and every time you press play!

2.) You will push yourself as hard as you see the other Turbo people in class (on your TV screen) pushing themselves! Chalene, the class, and the music are the three components that will enable you to give it your best and get through the workout. They will motivate you, trust me! All you have to do is push play, that’s it!

3.) Your Turbo Jam & ChaLEAN Extreme DVDs will never get dusty. Whether you’re sticking with the Turbo Fire class schedule or making up your own schedule, you’ll always be able to keep Turbo Jam and ChaLEAN Extreme in your ‘workout mix’ without feeling like you’ve excelled so far above them. They will always be an effective, calorie burning, butt kicking workout! Chalene Johnson has created amazing programs that will last a lifetime! (Turbo Fire has a Hybrid class schedule that combines Turbo Fire and ChaLEAN Extreme!)

I’ve specifically talked about Turbo Fire, Turbo Jam, and ChaLEAN Extreme in this post but I feel this way about all of the Beachbody programs; P90X, INSANITY, Body Gospel, Slim in 6, etc. These products are worth your time and your money, both are precious, I know. You are not getting one round of usage out of these programs, but a lifetime! Build your workout library and take the time to do something for yourself! Invest in yourself to become a healthier you!

Me and Week Three!

Today is week 3 of Turbo Fire!

I’ve been following the regular Turbo Fire Class Schedule that is included in the TF package, which consists of 6 days of classes and 1 rest day, the schedule has Wednesday as your rest day but you can make it whatever day you’d like. This program is truly unique in the sense that you are in a classroom setting, Chalene Johnson, the modifier, Alee Vicencio, and another instructor are on stage facing you and then there is a room full of people taking the class that are facing the same way as you, towards the stage, so you actually feel like you’re right in the middle of the class next to everyone. It keeps you motivated along the way because you see them pushing hard and it makes you want to push even harder.

I love the variety this program offers, for those of you who get bored easily this program is for you! Classes vary from day to day as well as the time for each class. Classes range from 15, 20, 25, 30, 45 and 55 minutes. You know what that means? It means you have NO EXCUSE to not workout! The number one excuse I hear from people who don’t workout is, “I just don’t have the time to exercise.” Guess what I say to that?! YOU have to MAKE the time! Don’t give me excuses! We are all busy!

Got an extra busy day/night this week? No problem, I’m sure you have 15 minutes to spare to get a HIIT workout in. Instead of sitting on the couch watching a sitcom for a half an hour, get up and move for those 30 minutes to a Fire 30 class. It’s doable, you just have to want it! Get up and “Press Play!”

Chalene Johnson has truly created an amazing program. Turbo Fire covers it all, it’s a total body workout that has taken my workouts to the next level. I’m challenging myself in a way I’ve never been challenged before and I’m in love! Turbo Fire offers intense cardio classes, HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) classes, core (abs) classes, sculpting, toning, and stretching classes.

Chalene didn’t hold back when creating this program, not only are the classes amazing but the music is seriously off the hook! She brought some ‘ol school back too! I almost lost it when I heard  “Dazzey Duks” and a remix of “Push It”, there are new songs as well as songs mastered just for Turbo Fire. You will not be disappointed with the music or this program, Chalene brings it in every way possible!

Turbo Fire is hott and keeps you thirsting for more!
